Find the focal point, or most important element of the design. Once you have uncovered this, you have also found your starting point. Most logos have a meaning, or represent something important to the founder, or the company as a whole. This could be a symbol that represents their mission statement, or who they came about. It is good to uncover elements such as these in your design interview with your clients (If of course your design is for someone besides yourself).
When you start simple you can often see your design take shape. Just allow one inspirational step lead to another. Overthinking color theory can quickly complicate your process. Try one color at a time, or even keep your design in black and white or gray until you have decided the best color choice.[/vc_column_text]
